I do have a few questions about the Sons of Plunder. Don't get me wrong, I would like to see the faction work. I would like to proudly wear the SOP badge and command the respect of the other pirates in Liberty. However, some don't seem to be working out.
I'll admit, when I joined the SOP I was very new to the game and the server. I really didn't know what was going on. Now that I've played for a little while I see a few things that might be lacking. Hence these questions:
First of all, what are we? I know that we're supposed to be pirating the Pensylvania system but that's basically it. Wouldn't it be better for new and existing members to have a common goal to work for other than "so that we can become legit?" Honestly, that makes it feel like work, and we aren't getting paid enough RL money to do that.
Recruit missions would be nice. Simple and reachable. This would give new members a reason to post and feel a sense of pride in their accomplishment.
Next, we seem to lack members. Back then, I remember hanging around in [sop]macky, waiting for orders. I stayed on for hours waiting for anything, none came. I had no direction and didn't know what to do. It seems that the roguedemon/crome incident was the most exciting thing that ever happened to our faction.
Maybe we can rp a bit. Go on missions against the lsf, prove ourselves to the LR, earn the respect of the JSI and shake off the image that we're just thugs.
We need direction. I believe you can do it if you set yourself and your mind to it. I know it won't be easy. RL can easily get in the way. But I think that's why you set up the SOP in the first place, because you wanted to commit yourself to working on a faction and making a great game even better.
